Where are we? New Albion, a near-future post-brexit, austerity Britain, owned and controlled by mega-corporation New Global.

Jim Walters, a totally unprepared and hapless astronaut is shot into space to become the first man on Mars. On the day of the launch, armageddon hits and Jim’s rocket gets trapped in orbit around the dying earth. With an ever decreasing amount of Oxygen, all he can do is broadcast his songs for the end of the world in the hope that someone might hear…

Join musician and theatre maker Dom Coyote and his high octane, multi-instrumentalist band, The Bloodmoneys as they explore the line between music gig and theatre.

Inspired by Philip K Dick’s post-apocalyptic novel Dr. Bloodmoney, the star gazing world of Ziggy Stardust, 1950s rock n’ roll and the age of austerity Britain, this is a show not to be missed..

Written by Dom Coyote, Michael Vale and Tom Penn, arranged and devised by the company.

Commissioned by Battersea Arts Centre and supported by West Yorkshire Playhouse, Tobacco Factory Theatres and Kneehigh. Developed with support from the National Theatre Studio and Arts Council England.
