Performer/musician Casting Call Out:

Dom Coyote is looking for 3 musicians/performers to join him for his tour of his critically acclaimed piece of gig-theatre, ‘Songs for the End of the World’ – touring to venues in the South East, supported by House Consortium, in spring 2017.

Songs for the End of the World is a new piece of gig theatre that takes the best parts of apocalyptic science fiction to tell a story about future cities, how post-Brexit Britain might look in 10 years’ time, following apocalypse, climate change, refugee crisis – to show us the ways that humanity can, in the end, change the world for the better.
A wild and surreal show, it is full to the brim with live music and vivid narrative, bringing together outstanding musicians with artists from Kneehigh and Little Bulb Theatre.

ABOUT ‘SONGS FOR THE END OF THE WORLD’:

In the heart of New Albion lies Ashley-Coombe, run by New Global.

Our narrator is astronaut Jim Walters, who has been sent to Mars with his wife Mary to become the planet’s new Adam and Eve. During his flight to Mars, the apocalypse hits Earth, leaving him suspended in orbit, and we are introduced to the characters of Ashley Coombe, each played by a different band member. Armed only with a transmitter and a guitar, Jim decides to write songs and send them back down to Earth, just in case anyone might have survived and be listening, especially his lost love, Mary. These are his Songs for the End of the World.
