The Colour of Dinosaurs

Play

The Colour of Dinosaurs is the Debut Show by composer Lloyd Coleman and OTIC, the new performance company created by music/story experimentalist Dom Coyote and super star producer Liz Counsell.

We brought together some incredible scientists and artists to make a totally surprising, fun and moving new piece of Gig Theatre all about Melanin, the pigment that exists in our skin…and also in dinosaurs… More details below.

A rip-roaring, prehistoric science pop gig for curious humans of all ages.

Have you ever wondered what a dinosaur might do in a day?
Or what they actually really looked like?
What colour were they? Did they have stripes and spots?
Were they really green like they are in the movies?

Join five amazing musicians and famous palaeontologist Dr Jakob Vinther as they enter the multi-coloured world of the dinosaurs with soaring music, catchy songs and mind-blowing science.

P.S. Bring your own dinosaur!

An Unlimited UK Partner Award 2023 commission with Polka Theatre made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England.

Supported By Bristol Old Vic Ferment. Created by Lloyd Coleman and Otic. Writing by Malaika Kegode. Based on the research of Dr Jakob Vinther.
